Description
There are no siloes, no cubicles, or fixed role titles. One day, you’ll be working on the configuration and administration of our general systems environment(s). The next day will be client facing projects. One day, research and investigation into new softwares, the next, change and release management.
About recon
recon is a young thinktank consultancy involved in delivering Enterprise Architecture Security Implementation. We design and deliver solutions that execute on the promise of enterprise security. Credentials, experience, and knowledge are always paramount. But we are a tight-knit team and the right person will be the one that best fits in as opposed to specifically being the most highly credentialed. You don’t have to be an expert, but a natural curiosity, tenacity, and aptitude will go a long way.
About you
For this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen. 3+ years of system implementation or administration experience; Linux and MS. Good knowledge of systems and networking, hardware, and networking protocols.
Working knowledge of virtualisation, Azure / AWS or equivalent, and Container technology A coding background would be great. Sys. admin. and IT certifications in Microsoft, Linux and/or other network related fields, if you have them, are a big plus.
Adaptable, curious, and tenacious. A solid team player with personal organisation and time management skills. Ability to work within a team to solve problems and deliver outcomes. The ability to interact with a wide range of people from different backgrounds. A positive can-do attitude and integrity in your decision making. A focus on accuracy and timeliness in carrying out your duties. Reliable and flexible approaches to workload and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Research, analyse and review business, functional and technical requirements, design, and support implementations Conduct diagnostics, create design documents, prepare test data, build, and deliver solutions. Develop and document new processes, procedures, and solutions. Carry out the deployment, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualisation. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. Work in a team-oriented environment to deliver team goals. Work independently and achieve results; remaining flexible and responsive to changes in requirements.
